it seems like we often wish we were what we’re not. i wish i was a country girl, wild and unpredictable, soft and pretty but can pack a mean punch, singing in the church choir, losing track of time in a beat up pick up truck, where everyone in town knows everyone in town and there’s nowhere to be but there.
at the same time, my dreams of being a country girl probably aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. i guess my life will just have to do for these boots of mine.
